Job seekers in the construction industry, especially skilled laborers, should have an easy time finding a job as many workers are expected to retire.
Construction jobs are expected to grow 11 percent by 2014. The number of architect jobs available is expected to increase as the population and the demand for both commercial and residential real estate grows.
Jobs in both the construction and architecture industries are sensitive to cyclical changes in the economy, which may mean strong competition for jobs during a recession.
