Employment of landscaping, groundskeeping, nursery, greenhouse and lawn-service workers is expected to increase through 2014.
The number of farmers will continue to decline, but significant jobs will be available as current farmers retire or leave the industry.
Jobs for veterinarians are expected to increase between 7 percent to 19 percent between 2004 and 2014. The job outlook remains good for veterinarians, because job applicants are limited by the 28 selective vet schools in the country.
Developing fields in agriculture include ornamental horticulture, turf management and natural resources management.
